The Atlanta Hawks Select XCO SportsLink to Launch Smartphone Applications for Fans
The Atlanta Hawks have selected XCO SportsLink to provide their mobile application platform to launch for the 2010-2011 season. The Hawks app will be able to enhance their fans in-venue and out-of-venue experiences with exclusive behind-the-scenes content, team information, fan promotions, social networking, and in-venue location features to easily find concessions, facilities, and local attractions.
The XCO SportsLink solution offers a wide range of features, analytics, and technology services that will enable the Hawks to create and manage their own content so that fans can easily download dynamic applications to their smartphones. All content will be available through a cell carrier or Wi-Fi network connection to a fan’s smartphone and will also provide off-line capability.
“Smartphones are an essential vehicle for keeping our fans connected with the team,” said Tracy White, Senior VP and Chief Sales Officer of Atlanta Hawks. “Our app, which we believe is an engaging and useful tool for Hawks fans, enhances their ability to connect during their in-arena experience, and provides them the opportunity to explore team content when and where they want. Our ultimate goal is to deliver to the most interesting, exclusive and dynamic content to our loyal fans and make the app the place to turn for all things Hawks.”
The Hawks are leaders when it comes to leveraging social media to keep fans informed and the app initiative take the team to the next level. The app will initially be available for download for the iPhone ™ , iPod Touch™, Android, BlackBerry ™ all launching early in 2011. The aim of these mobile apps is to connect Hawks fans with an expanding audience of smartphone users which now number over 58 million in the US. The Hawks app will serve as a direct window into team news, special offers, and exclusive content.

 In-depth Player profiles
 Unique behind the scenes video showcasing players and cheerleaders
 Exclusive Hawks features, blogs, and photos and bios of players and the front office
